Description
Impulsator, Encoder EC11 – 20-pulse with push button
Rotary encoder – An impulse generator is a transducer that converts rotary motion into electrical impulses. The digital signal makes the encoder very easy to use. It can be used, for example, to control devices through a microcontroller or as a digital potentiometer. The digital potentiometer is used, for example, as a voltage or volume control, with no limited rotation angle and the digital signal (0, 1) is very convenient and easy to read. By connecting an encoder to an Arduino Uno microcontroller, for example, you can count signals from two output pins (A and B), where, for example, the output of pin A from the encoder will increase the value and from pin B will decrease it. Because the encoder is multi-turn, wide ranges can be manipulated.
